**SALARY: $22.05 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits (JB05 July 2024 rate)**

**$26.35 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits (JB07 July 2024 rate)**
**$29.11 per hour + 14% in lieu of benefits (JB08 July 2024 rate)**

**CLASSIFICATION: JB05 to JB08 - depending on program requirements**

**SUMMARY**:West Shore Parks & Recreation (WSPR) is looking for exceptional staff to deliver exciting recreation
opportunities to the children and youth of the Westshore. Programs encourage participants to cultivate
friendships and experience a wide variety of activities, while developing lifetime skills.

Within this diverse role, there will be an opportunity for the successful applicant to work in a variety or programs
from preschool - youth. This auxiliary position involves the school year and may include Wednesdays Stay & Play
drop ins; Youth drop ins and other programs such as Spring Break and Pro D Days.

This role will have the opportunity to work additional hours in other areas as WSPR continues to expand its
program operations and create additional courses.

**JOB DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**

- Ability to be imaginative and flexible to ensure all programs operate smoothly.
- Ability to follow established safety standards and requirements.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Applicants must be a minimum of 19 years of age.
- Current Emergency First Aid and CPR C certificate is required.
- Minimum 250 hours previous experience leading youth programs.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have some post-secondary training in recreation, youth,

childcare or a related field.
