**Inside Sales Representative**

**Position Summary**:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for ensuring the effective management of customer relationships and satisfaction of customer needs consistent with the vision and policies of the Company. This includes ensuring that all profitability targets and recommended margin levels as outlined by the Company are realized; understand, promote, and believe in the
Company’s commitment of being a service and quality organization; maintain and continue to seek ways to improve overall service quality. This position reports to the Sales Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for fielding incoming customer phone calls.
- Liaison with the production, shipping & scheduling department on lead times for orders and the purchasing department if the inventory is not in-house.
- Actively pursue sales with existing and new accounts.
- Effectively price out jobs for customers that are under 20,000 lbs. Consult management on pricing for jobs over 20,000 lbs.
- Ensure that there is sufficient stock to cover orders for blanket customers.
- Keep accurate records of quotes and other pertinent information for regular customers.
- File orders in the “local” filing cabinet and clean out on a monthly basis once the orders have been shipped.
- Follow-up with the production and shipping department to ensure that the orders are delivered on time.
- Work closely with the Outside Sales Representatives regarding quotes, inventory, and order entry; and other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Customer service oriented with a minimum 2 years of industry experience.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, time management and negotiation skills.
- Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.
- Effectively deal with stressful situations in a calm professional manner.
- Ability to work alone or part of a collaborative team.

**Working Conditions**:

- Use of computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- May include prolonged periods of sitting, viewing a computer screen, typing and talking on the phone.
- Periods of standing, walking, and lifting.
