Niagara Food Company is looking for an **Assistant Bakery Manager** to join our team. A _minimum_ of two years of baking experience is required, and two years of management experience. A baking education is desirable. We provide a positive work environment, comprehensive training, and creative freedom to help develop recipes.
- **As an Assistant Bakery Manager at Niagara Food Company, you will**:_
- Work as part of a small team to bake products from scratch every day, following carefully crafted recipes.
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable using computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Answer phone calls, use the POS machine to complete retail sales, etc.
- Following recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients, processing everything through the ovens, packaging products to store standards.
- Keep track of inventory amounts to ensure consistent stock levels.
- Regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise that weighs 30 lbs., and that occasionally weighs up to 60 lbs.
- Track inventory to ensure all ingredients and packaging are in stock.
- Maintain all temperature logs and production sheets.
- Provide continual training, developmental action planning, and meaningful feedback on job performance to Associates.
- Lead Associates to work cooperatively while encouraging enthusiasm, loyalty, and creativity.
- Portray a professional appearance and be a positive role model for all Associates in the department in accordance with the Company Dress Code Policy.
- You'll also work alongside your team to keep the bakery clean, and provide delightful customer service while working cash for retail customers.
- **What we are looking for**:_
- This is a daytime job ranging from 6am -10am starts; must be able to work weekdays and the majority of Saturdays, and any holidays, closed on Sundays.
- Two years of Management experience within a professional kitchen.
- Two years of previous baking experience in a professional kitchen. College training is an asset but not mandatory. **If you don't have previous baking experience, please don't apply.**:

- **Physical Requirements**:_
- Continuous standing/walking for all tasks
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg
- Frequent turning and reaching
- Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping
- Occasional pushing, pulling and some forward bending
- Ability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 meters

**Schedule**:

- **Tuesday to Saturday**:

- Typical hours: Tuesday-Friday: 9 AM - 5 PM or 10 AM - 6 PM
- Occasional 6am starts for large orders or holidays.
- Saturday: 8 AM - 4 PM
- Some flexibility required depending on business needs.

Full time hours: 35-44 per week

Pay: $19.00-$20.25 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
