Primary Responsibilities and Technical Expertise Development Opportunities

We are seeking a member for our core technical team within the Health & Safety Service Line. Specific responsibilities may include:

- Conducting walk-through assessments of employer operations and, in consultation with the business team, determining the need for exposure survey or ongoing monitoring;
- Analyzing, synthesizing, and modelling information and data and writing concise, evidence-based exposure history reports outlining the potential for and prevention of exposures;
- Conducting full-shift occupational exposure sampling
- Conducting non-industrial indoor air quality assessments, including mold
- Preparing final reports, including conclusions/recommendations for all IH assessments
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative fit-testing per the OSHA standard
- Preparing written programs to meet individual regulatory standards and customer needs
- Building relationships and increasing service offerings with existing clients
- Selecting appropriate respirators based on the hazards
- Proven experience in Industrial Hygiene practice and industrial environment is desirable
- Experience as a radiation safety officer, including training, is desirable
- Ability to learn local legislative requirements on workplace health and safety in multiple jurisdictions
- Perform facility compliance audits and occupational exposure surveys and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Design and implement safety management systems, safety programs, procedures, plans, and reports for clients.
- Assess regulatory compliance across various safety programs and environmental media.
- Provide technical assistance on safety-related compliance projects, safety management system development and implementation, safety oversight, industrial hygiene monitoring, and safety auditing.
- Conduct training, field coaching, and assessments for safety performance internally and for clients.
- Provide on-site health and safety compliance support at client facilities.
- Manage multiple project activities within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
- Aid EHS Support Managers and Service Line Teams to manage and deliver quality projects effectively.

Knowledge and Attributes
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or a health discipline (nursing, toxicology, ergonomics, etc.)
- Current Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or have a desire to obtain certification
- Three to five years experience as an Industrial Hygienist
- Knowledge and experience in the United States in Health & Safety is highly desirable
- Sense of responsibility
- Respect standards and regulations
- Fluency in English (French language skills are desirable)
