**The Opportunity**:
Edsembli is seeking a keen individual to support their Sales team on RFPs (Request for Proposal). The company is a specialized software solutions vendor that provides a cloud administrative platform for the K-12 education sector. It serves over 1.3-million students across North America, providing HR and Payroll, Finance and a Student Information System.

This role provides the opportunity to:

- Interact with senior stakeholders
- Help expand the business into new territories and jurisdictions

**Responsibilities**:
As the Proposal Writer, your role reports to the Senior Director, Client Management Services, and acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all commercial proposal and RFP response activities. You will make major contributions to the company’s performance by:

- Understanding RFP and procurement processes of the K-12 education sector
- Performing detailed analysis of RFP/RFQ/RFI documents to assess requirements
- Authoring questions and clarify requirements to reduce risk/improve probability of winning
- Preparing responses to RFP’s and sole-source procurement inquiries
- Collaborating with the internal stakeholders to ensure high quality product is produced
- Developing compelling proposal narratives that demonstrate the company’s value proposition
- Maintaining a repository of content artifacts that can be reused and continuously enhanced
- Acting as project manager for RFP responses including leading kick-off meetings, assigning, and coordinating tasks across the stakeholder team
- Working with regional sales executives to deliver responses to customers and third-party brokers
- Collaborating with the Edsembli Legal and Finance & Admin teams to ensure all commercial responses meet legal, commercial, and financial standards of care
- Maintaining permitted-accessible digital references on public education markets, school board and private school customers, competitors and their products/services, governments, public sector stakeholders, public policy drivers, political forces affecting the SaaS business, etc.
- Monitoring procurement boards, external sites throughout North America, and all other sources of release to build the proposal funnel
- Coordinating inbound commercial contracts and customer feedback to RFP responses, including initial assessment and processing, with handoff to appropriate internal decision makers

**Required Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of proven and progressive experience responding to RFPs
- Strong knowledge of the RFP process
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, English, Arts, Communications or a related field or equivalent experience is an asset
- Exceptional interpersonal skills - interacts successfully with all levels of staff including Directors, Managers, and clients with a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Well-developed writing skills, particularly with drafting business proposals and marketing materials
- Previous experience working in the Education or Education management industries considered an asset
