Today is the day to boost your career Pinchin is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation team in our Sudbury Office.
**A Day in the life of a Project Coordinator at Pinchin**:
- Assist Project Managers with the coordination and execution of projects within our environmental due diligence group in Northern Ontario, including job set up, budget tracking, deliverable preparation and tracking and ensuring deliverables are provided to Client within agreed upon timeframe
- Conduct baseline site assessments for site permitting requirements
- Execute water and soil quality monitoring programs for both green
- and brownfield sites. Support monitoring program development and recommendations
- Complete Site inspections for spills, and other contaminant releases, soil, groundwater, and other media (soil vapour, indoor air other) sampling.
- Completing “cradle to grave” site work/supervision for non-complex and complex environmentally impacted properties
- Preparing summaries of site work, sampling and overall project updates for Project Managers/ Sr. Reviewers and Clients (as approved by the Project Manager/Supervisor)
- Support project scope development and implementation (from initial response, subsurface investigation and remediation)
- Complete Phase II ESAs including soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling for our normal EDR practice, where time allows
- Prepare, review, and edit technical reports
- Liaise with subcontractors
- Mentor and train junior staff and team building
- Liaise with clients and other potentially involved stakeholders, including regulatory body representatives
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships
**What you bring to the Pinchin team**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering and/or Diploma in Environmental Science
- 3 to 8 years’ related experience
- Working toward or have professional designation (P. Eng., P. Geo. etc.) is an asset
- Excellent writing, editing, technical and organizational skills along with the ability to problem solve
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client relations
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Availability to travel for work within Northern Ontario. Occasional travel within other areas of Ontario and other provinces may be required
- Valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
- Availability to work outside of core business hours (some after hours work is required, but not a regular occurrence)
