Legal Counsel, Commercial

We're looking for a Legal Counsel to join our North American Commercial Legal team. You'll contribute to developing and scaling the legal services we provide across the business. You must be fluent in English, and passionate about (commercial) contracts. Come and join our best-in-class legal team

**What you'll be doing**:

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and templates with large customers, strategic partners, resellers and suppliers. Bonus for specific experience with partnership agreements (referral, reseller and integration), SaaS contracts and procurement contracts.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders including the Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Product, Technology, Support, Finance, and Information Technology teams;
- Assisting with drafting, revising, implementing and interpreting the company's compliance policies, procedures and programs;
- Liaising with regulatory bodies and government authorities as required;
- Participating in the legal training of colleagues and stakeholder groups;
- Providing ad hoc analysis and supporting complex, cross-functional and/or multi-jurisdictional projects and special requests from the executive team.
- Assisting with litigation management, employment matters, M&A and similar transactions, corporate legal requirements, privacy and other compliance matters, as needed;
**What you'll be bringing to the team**:

- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or as in-house counsel, preferably with exposure to international, multi-jurisdictional matters
- Experience of a broad commercial nature, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, terms and conditions etc. Bonus for technology-specific experience.
- Professional-level proficiency in English, including legal writing; Bonus for proficiency in German, Dutch or French
- Strong knowledge of Commercial law and Contract law; Bonus for command of Data Protection/Privacy law
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues and stakeholders on different levels and with different professional, cultural backgrounds

**Even better if you have, but not necessary**:

- Experience working in an international environment, across different jurisdictions and languages;
- Experience working with cloud-based software and payments providers;
- Command of additional European languages
- Knowledge of and experience with Privacy, IP, Fiscalization, Employment and Corporate law.
