**Additional responsibilities will include**:
- Coordinate directly with utility owner to enter into design and relocation contract agreements and develop relocation plans and schedules.
- Reviewing the utility designs prepared by section designers and/or utility authorities for compliance with the client’s Engineering design criteria and other applicable criteria;
- Coordinating the development of contractual strategies to facilitate relocations including standalone contracts and/or the integration of utility work into the project's comprehensive civil construction contracts
- Identify foreseeable project utility impacts and provide recommendations for resolution and minimization of project/utility costs and delays
- Secure reimbursable cost estimates, agreements, certification letters, Utility Adjustment Schedules, and plans from all utility owner/operators
- Read and understand construction drawings, utility relocation drawings, and contracts, and provide feedback concerning potential impacts.
- Coordinate directly with utility owner to expedite relocations and ensure that they occur on schedule and meet the project objectives.
- Track utility plan submittals and status of markups from the utility companies
- Maintain project correspondence and tracking database

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering specializing in municipal services and/or roadway design, or the equivalent;
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods and procedures;
- Relevant engineering design/construction experience in a multidisciplinary design environment where detailed drawings and specifications specific to utilities design are produced;
- Requires sound judgement; excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, verbal communication and technical report writing skills.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, methods, and practices for the design and construction of utilities and services, drainage, site restoration, including general familiarity with track and roadway engineering for urban transit projects;
- Knowledge of the legal framework for implementing civil/utility infrastructure in the Province of Ontario, and a strong knowledge of applicable codes and legislation;
- Requires sound judgement; excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, verbal communication and technical report writing skills.
