Sandblasting Assistant/Sand Blaster

**About the Position**:
This position requires attention to detail, understanding of production flow, and willingness to learn and follow proper techniques.

**Duties**:

- Carefully package finished goods for safe transportation.
- Solve unique racking and staging challenges of clean customer goods for production.
- Inspect pieces for proper cleanliness before blasting.
- Prepare parts for blasting as per work instructions.
- Assist the Lead Sand Blaster with the transport of goods through the shop.
- Sand Blasting as required.
- Assist Shipper with loading and unloading delivery trucks as required.
- Safe and effective use of orbital sanders, air guns, and other production-related tools.
- Open communication to keep production flowing.
- Attend and contribute to production huddles, safety meetings, and training as required.
- Assist with other duties on the shop floor as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Capable of reading and writing in English.
- Able to safely lift to 50lbs.
- Actively engage in problem-solving, not problem naming.
- Effective at time management.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow a process to completion.
- Prior forklift experience is an asset.
