Deep River Nursery School and Child Care Centre is a licensed child care center which provides quality care to families in the Deep River and surrounding areas.

Applicants must be either citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Unfortunately, temporary work permits or sponsorships are not available for this role.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Planning and implementing a quality Before and After School Program for children 4 to 12 years of age
- Ensuring the supervision and safety of the children in the program
- Fostering the children’s curiosity and facilitating activities based on their interests and needs
- Building positive relationships with the children, families and school community
- Following the Child Care and Early Years Act requirements and Deep River Nursery School and Child Care Center policies and procedures

Qualification:

- Applicants must be either citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Unfortunately, temporary work permits or sponsorships are not available for this role.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbally
- Holder of a valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C Certificate
- Vulnerable Sector Check - within the last six months months
- Fundamental knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act
- Ability to deliver high quality programming to children
- Excellent leadership and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and initiative
- Ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with children, co-workers, and parents
- Ability to meet the physical demands of this position - must be able to lift minimum 25lbs

**HOURS**

Must be available to work a split shifts (7:00-9:00/3:30-5:30) during the school year. Additional hours may be available to cover staff absences or vacation time.

On non
- instructional days (e.g. PA Days, March Break, summer) must work rotating 8 hour shifts (7:00AM-5:30PM).

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.20-$26.00 per hour
