Parts Coordinator

The primary function of the Parts Coordinator is to increase efficiency of the shop by ensuring parts are received, controlled and delivered to the appropriate technicians.
Duties:
- Receive all parts and verify that the order is accurate and complete and matches vendor’s invoice (Best practice is to do it while driver is on site to allow any omissions or damage to be noted and shared with management).
- Mark and store all received parts with proper work order number in an appropriate location.
- Check for returned parts for that vendor and make sure you get a parts return slip. Ensure all documentation is delivered to front office management.
- Advise Store Manager so that vehicle can be scheduled and moves file to parts in call customer slot.
- Notify Store Manager immediately so that any delays can be communicated to customer and/ or insurance company.
- Move vehicle to the assigned stall as required.
- Map out the vehicle by checking estimate and listing any sublets or special items and services. Working with the assigned technician on body, prep, target dates, etc.
- Move parts tote or parts cart to the assigned stall.
- Notify appropriate technician upon positioning of job.
- Coordinate with each body, prep and paint technicians and document supplement sheet, report to management with any supplements, delays or parts.
- Inspect new parts for damage and mirror match new parts to damaged parts to confirm correctness.
- Dispose of original damaged parts once replacement parts are confirmed correct.
- Check for returned parts for that vendor, make sure you get a parts return slip and ensure all documentation is delivered to front office management.
- Upon completion of the repair, return unnecessary parts for credit and document this activity. Ensure invoice copies are completed.
- Compare vendor invoice against estimate for accuracy of parts received.
- Advise the management team immediately on any vehicle that has deficiencies or delays that will impact the planned delivery of a vehicle.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in which to work that reflects the working conditions of the company.
**Salary**: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
