Child Care Program Assistant

Little George’s Child Care Centre is currently seeking a responsible, creative, and energetic youth to fill the position of Child Care Program Assistant Working with our team of registered early childhood educators, this is an exciting **summer employment** opportunity for anyone interested in the field of early childhood education.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Work collaboratively with educators to support and enhance services and programs within the child care centre.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all children in our care.
- Encourage socialization and enhance learning.
- Assist educators with daily activities and special outings.
- Provide assistance with materials and resources.
- Must be between 15 and 30-years of age.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
- Hold a valid Social Insurance Number at start of employment.
- Have an interest in pursuing a career related to early childhood education or development.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have demonstrated creativity and a passion for working with children.
- Previous experience planning and facilitating activities for groups of children is an asset.
- Previous experience working with children with special needs is an asset.
