**What We Will Ask of You**:As a key member of our Finance team, our Payroll & Financial Analyst (PFA) has an important role The PFA supports the Financial Controller and finance team complete the financial administration of Canopy’s payroll in an accurate and timely manner. The PFA facilitates service level agreements for Canopy service users, caregivers and agency partners and documents status changes in the Client Data Management system (CDM). The PFA provides annual financial audit support to the finance team as well as ongoing financial budget updates and forecasts to Canopy’s Program Managers as directed. This role additionally acts as a purchaser for various vendors to support general business needs including; business and program related supply purchases, staff training as well as other specialized agency purchases as directed.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the accurate and timely administration of agency bi-weekly payroll.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete financial information in QuickBooks software.
- Analyze position or contract changes for employees to process salary and vacation increases, bonuses or other applicable entitlements.
- Facilitate service level agreements for Canopy service users, caregivers and agency partners.
- Provide supportive, accurate and efficient financial administrative services to all Program Managers, staff, external vendors and stakeholders.
- Optimize and align the purchase administration process by efficiently conducting research and performing cost-benefit analysis for various vendors, process expenditures to support program budgets within Canopy’s financial policy and procedures.
- Complete ongoing data entry of contract details into CDM) Client Contract Module.
- Follow direction to complete other tasks and projects as directed.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary standing in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of combined experience in variety of Finance related areas: Payroll, Accounting, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Month end reporting and finance areas.
- Project management, leadership experience and customer service.
- PCP Certification from the Canadian Payroll Association considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and automated report writing tools (Crystal) would be a definite asset.
- Strong attention to detail, collaborative communicator, well organized with an excellent ability to prioritize, multi-task and take initiative.
- Annual completion of a Criminal Background Check/Declaration, including Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).
- Commitment to maximize resources and improve people’s quality of life.
