**Compensation**: Competitive salary beginning at $70,000, commensurate with experience. Compensation also includes a generous benefits package (RRSP, health insurance, clean commute stipend, home office expense stipend), four (4) weeks’ vacation in addition to a winter break, and a Staff Donor Advised Fund.

The Trottier Family Foundation (TFF) is a private family foundation based in Montréal. Our mission is to support organisations that work towards the advancement of scientific inquiry, the promotion of education, fostering better health, protecting the environment and mitigating climate change. **THE OPPORTUNITY**
We are seeking a Program Officer who will support our team of Program Directors in implementing the Foundation’s programmatic and strategic goals.
**Responsibilities**:
Administrative support (40%)
- Assist with the daily operations of the program staff including managing schedules, coordinating in-person and virtual meetings, project management, engaging with partners;
- Provide administrative support for program staff meetings and events including agendas, presentations, documents, and notes;
- Organise business travel, including booking and managing itineraries;
- Help plan, coordinate, and manage events;
- Ad hoc communications support;
- Liaise and communicate information between various staff and board members;
- Run errands, pick-ups, and other special requests as needed.
Grantmaking support (60%)
- Assist in preparing grant and other program-related documents, including drafting, proofreading, editing and translating;
- Receive, process and assist in reviewing grantee reports;
- Manage, track and organise data and documentation;
- Assist program staff in developing, designing and implementing special projects and new partnerships.

**Capabilities and qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education;
- Experience in project administration, grant administration, or fundraising is an asset;
- A minimum of two years of experience working as an assistant (or other relevant administrative support staff) in a busy organisation;
- A minimum of two years of professional work experience and demonstrated interest in at least two of the following areas: health, science, climate change, education, social justice, social finance, community development, international development;
- Familiarity working in the non-profit or philanthropic environment is an asset;
- Excellent computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, Sharepoint, Quickbooks;
- Excellent written and verbal communication, in English and in French;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to adapt to changing requests and deadlines;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Reliable, energetic, self-directed & autonomous, capable of functioning effectively independently and on a team, with a commitment to completing tasks and follow-through;
- Fast learner and problem-solver, with a willingness to participate in various and sometimes unrelated tasks;
- Intellectual agility and ability to analyze, conduct research, think critically, and understand social issues and priorities;
- Diplomatic and able to work with diverse stakeholders, seeking common understanding and goals from, at times, competing perspectives;
- Experience working in a small team, collaborating with other staff and external stakeholders to ensure the achievement of various initiatives across the organisation.
