**Job Details**:
- Status:_ Full-Time, Permanent
- Location:_ Burlington, ON
**Job Purpose**:
The _Underwriting Analyst_ offers vital administrative, reporting, and analytical support to enhance decision-making through data utilization from various sources.
**Essential Job Functions**
- Utilize Acera Benefits Excel tool for data import and analysis
- Conduct annual renewal analysis for group benefit plans
- Collaborate with leadership to review and discuss renewal analysis findings when necessary
- Present analysis and recommended rate actions to Employee Benefit Consultants
- Negotiate renewal rates with insurers
- Prepare client renewal reports
- Obtain required reports from carrier sources
- Analyze premium and claims experience, to identify additional reporting needs
- Prepare interim reports and provide monthly renewals with commentary
- Review billing statements monthly to ensure accuracy for completed renewals

- Ability to maximize efficiencies by leveraging technology, tools resources and information
- Self-guided learner & solves problems with real solutions
- Working knowledge of insurance document management software
- Skilled user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Completed or willingness to obtain GBA designation within an agreed upon timeframe
