A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.

The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

**About the Role**:

- We are seeking a dynamic, high performing, values driven and strategic leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as the Vice President, Digital Services & Chief Information Officer. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the strategic direction of eHealth's technology and digital services, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of essential services for the healthcare sector and delivery of care by:

- Acting as a senior advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors, guiding the development and implementation of IT/IM strategies that align with stakeholder needs, business objectives, and future technology trends.
- Building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, health authorities, regulatory bodies, and external partners. Using diplomacy and negotiation skills to align interests and advocate for eHealth’s strategic priorities within the context of provincial policy.
- Participating in inter-departmental, provincial, and national IT forums to leverage external solutions and investments in alignment with provincial healthcare, social, and economic policies.
- Participating in cross collaborative committees representing eHealth.
- Ensuring the effective use of IT resources, including hardware, software, and human capital, while safeguarding against security threats and ensuring continuity of health services.
- Overseeing the development and operation of the IT network, server, security environment, and disaster recovery plans to ensure 24/7 service continuity and patient safety.
- Leading the division’s budget and resources, aligning divisional goals with eHealth’s strategic direction, and managing staff performance.
- Provide advice directly to the Board and senior health system and other agencies on IT/IM matters.
- Progressive experience in linking strategy and operations, IT policies, framework and practices;
- Strong negotiation and conflict management skills that enable them to achieve mutually beneficial decisions or outcomes between parties;
- Superior communication, problem-solving, accountability, systems management skills, and a solid track record in initiating and supporting collaborative work and innovation solutions;
- Ability to assesses and mitigate risk in plans or actions. Make contingency plans to limit the magnitude of risk;
- Knowledge of public sector budgeting, forecasting, accountability, and decision-making processes;
- Understanding how to advance the strategic and corporate work of the organization and the goals of government overall;
- Change agent with a proven track record in leading dynamic and diverse teams through provincial wide changes and times of uncertainty;
- Ability to navigate and build influential relationships with internal and external partners in healthcare;
- Extensive senior management experience that enables you to lead, direct and influence a team of professionals;
- Strong political savvy;
- Ability to think critically and view issues and challenges from multiple perspectives; and
- Reputation for accountability, integrity and a focus on service excellence.
