Overview:
The Finance Analyst is a key position that supports the Finance team for the Manitoba/Saskatchewan market, with a focus on the pre-cast and construction businesses. The position will report directly to the Finance Director.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support project accounting on a continual basis including billing, cost tracking and indirect tax reconciliations
- Responsible for accounts payable tasks including creating purchase orders, and processing vendor invoices
- Support production analysts with inventory management
- Assist in financial reporting, analysis and forecasting
- Holdback accounts reconciliation
- Assist with fixed asset management
- Enter adjusting journals as required
- Ensure project accounting procedures are followed
- Assist with report creation, update and maintenance for the Finance team
- Constantly strive to improve accuracy of information flow through education, careful attention to detail, and improvements to information processing
- Ad hoc finance and operations projects as required by the Finance Director and Senior Financial Analysts
Qualifications:
**Educational background**
- Accounting degree/diploma or one of the business related disciplines
**Experience**:
- Experience in a related role within an accounting/business environment, project based / construction industry preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Proficient with Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge and experience in SAP an asset, preferred but not required
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and in a team environment
