Essential Duties

Prepare and assists with estimating projects with special requirements.
Ensures all company, department, safety and operating policies and practices are followed. Responds to questions and interprets policies, as required.
Assists with the implementation of safety training and orientation programs.
Oversees and directs day-to-day field operations to ensure appropriate personnel, equipment, budget and schedule are met. Coordinates activities to effect operational efficiency and economy.
Ensures all field personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Documents all violations and recommends corrective action, as required.
Ensures efficient use of materials and equipment.
Troubleshoots and resolves operational problems and difficulties, as they arise.
Analyzes procedures and equipment needs to implement most efficient means of handling workload.
Oversees the maintenance, repair, purchasing, and utilization of field construction equipment.
Maintains project construction budgets.
Promotes a safe working environment for all employees.
Performs additional responsibilities, as directed.
Responsible for safety performance of Sarnia operation.

**Experience**: Preferred
- Demonstrated skills in planning, and organizing. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work with and communicate with customers, field craftsmen, engineers, and operations manager. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical information such as codes, specifications, drawings and reports and prepare work plans for specific projects. Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- 5 year(s): 5 + years of related experience in tank maintenance and repair or construction 2+ years previous lead/supervisory experience. Previous experience and excellent working knowledge in all aspects of tank repair and maintenance or tank construction work, including technology, equipment, and methods.
