Traine Construction and Development (Traine) is currently seeking an experienced Labourer to join our team in Colwood. As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Site Superintendent to perform tasks involving physical labour and operate a variety of hand and power tools.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Performs tasks involving physical labour at construction projects.
- Operates a variety of hand and power tools.
- Measures, marks and records openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed.
- Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
- Erects and dissembles scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures.
- Load, unload and identify building materials, machinery and tools and distribute them to the appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications.
- Provide assistance to craft workers such as carpenters, civil team, quality assurance etc.
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Other general duties as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a construction labourer preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR preferred.
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner if certified
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods and the tools required in various construction processes.
- Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour under adverse field conditions.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Use of radio.
