**Position Summary**:
We are seeking a **reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Prep Cook** to join our team. This hybrid role plays a crucial part in ensuring the café operates smoothly, maintaining our high standards of cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen team with food preparation.

You’ll work closely with the owners and team to develop and maintain a cleaning and prep schedule that suits the needs of our busy café.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Dishwashing & Cleaning:_
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, kitchenware, glassware, and utensils using our commercial dishwasher to ensure a constant supply for the team.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and restroom facilities to create a pleasant environment for guests and staff.
- Follow a cleaning schedule designed to keep all areas of the café spotless and welcoming.
- Prep Cooking:_
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure all food prep follows health and safety guidelines.
- Organize and maintain clean, efficient prep stations.
- Inventory & Compliance:_
- Assist with receiving orders and ensuring items are put away correctly and promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, upholding the highest levels of hygiene in all tasks.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- A strong work ethic and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic English skills required to understand instructions and communicate with the team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Availability for 5 day shifts/ week, approximately **30 hours/week, Wednesday through Sunday** (weekend availability is essential).
- A positive attitude, willingness to support teammates, and a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
