**About the Role**

The Regional Maintenance Manager reports to the Director, Facility Maintenance and/or designate. This role is responsible for the supporting the community Maintenance Managers within their portfolio to ensure smooth operations of the community’s maintenance procedures. This role will also assist in ensuring the safety and security of all residents, staff and visitors.

**Responsibilities**

**Include but not limited to**:

- To act as a leader for the community Maintenance Managers within the portfolio.
- Supporting the communities in absence of a Maintenance Manager
- Training and development of the Maintenance Managers
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- 3-4 years work experience in managing trades persons and work programs related to building or facility maintenance.
- Knowledge of and capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating systems and gardening.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- An intermediate level of computer knowledge
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout BC.
- All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.
- Must be in good health, physically able to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, squat, bend, stand and walk as required to perform the duties of the position.
- A demonstrated ability to organize a schedule of maintenance and workload planning.
- A demonstrated ability to maintain a checklist record of maintenance routines.
- An ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and visitors.
- Assist the staff and management to operate the facility in a safe and efficient manner.
- Demonstrates collaborative and team working skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions.
