The Client Services team is responsible for the overall management of A & A’s accounts. As part of the Client Services team, the Account Manager serves as the primary contact for our accounts.
As the voice of our Account Management team, you will be working closely with our Sales and Operations teams to support our clients. We are looking for an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers and to develop new business from existing clients.
**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**
- Serve as the lead point of contact and trusted advisor for all customer account management matters
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Assist our Sales team to negotiate contracts and closing agreements to maximize profits
- Research and prepare offer letters, contracts, and other documents as required
- Lead the end-to-end process of onboarding new accounts
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders through quarterly business reviews, presentations, and webinars
- Forecast and track account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
- Prepare reports on account status
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the territory
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
The role will support the Sales & Operations teams in ensuring that the requirements and business processes associated with cross-border movements function smoothly while ensuring that risks and opportunities are identified and managed efficiently.
**Qualifications**:
- Preferred Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in customs brokerage in Canada with a focus on customs entry operations, customs compliance management, and regulatory requirements in Canada. Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), or similar trade & customs related designation is an asset
- Language: English (verbal & written)
- Proven work experience as a Customer Service Agent, Customs Clearance Coordinator, Account Representative, or relevant role
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive level
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, proven interpersonal skills, and follow-up skills are required
- Ethical, self-motivated, and capable of working under mínimal supervision
- Strong project management skills
