**The Night Oven Bakery FOH Job Description & Responsibilities**

Front of House members are a part of the customer service team of The
Night Oven Bakery. This position reports to the Operations Administrator/ FOH Supervisor.

The priority for Front of House staff is customer engagement; greeting and serving customers our high quality pastries and bread, as well as preparing quality coffee and tea beverages. As a Front of House member you are responsible for the presentation of our products and describing them in ways that showcase The Night Oven Bakery’s approach to whole grain flours and organic locally sourced foods.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and serve customers
- Prepare quality coffee and tea beverages
- Maintain knowledge of the complete menu, daily specials, and available items
- Responsible for opening and closing of the bakery
- Cash handling and daily balance of cash register
- Daily cleaning of bakery space - FOH area, Coffee Station,

Wholesale Area
- Strictly adhering to food, sanitary, and safety standards
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Ability to work well in a high-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a high level of quality and consistency
- Coordinates with BOH to organize customer orders
- Packaging speciality products
- Responsible for fulfilling all retail and wholesale orders
- Must have strong customer service, time management, communication and organizational skills
- Other duties as assigned adhering to scheduled workweek hours

Physical Demands and Hours
- Standing for the majority of the work day
- Crouching, reaching, pushing and pulling
- Moving and lifting up to 30kg ie, lifting and moving 20kg flour bags
- Shifts may be up to 8 hours, between the hours of 7:30am and 5pm (9pm on Fridays) and as needed with approval of management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-40 per week

**Salary**: $15.00 per hour
