We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team and assist with day-to-day dimensional inspection of machined components and reporting of nonconformances.

**Job Scope**

Under the direction and supervision of Quality Manager & Machine Shop Supervisor, the QC Inspector will assist with dimensional inspection of all in-house manufactured and received components and raw materials. QC Inspector is expected to follow all quality standards and requirements outlined in the internal QMS and maintain compliance with both ISO 9001 and API Q1. Other duties include reporting, calibration of measuring equipment, and various shop tasks as required.

**DUTIES**
- Maintain compliance with API Q1/ISO 9001:2015
- Perform dimensional inspections in product and components.
- Conduct in-process, final and receiving inspections
- Inspect raw materials as well as machined components
- Complete required quality documentation and report any findings
- Organize, calibrate, repair, maintain and operate precision measuring tools
- Participate in shop organization and improvement projects.
- Monitor finished products to confirm their compliance with quality standards and remove those which fail to comply
- Work in conjunction with the Quality Control/Assurance Department to ensure a consistent and quality product
- Work in conjunction with the HSE and HR departments to promote a safe working environment and feedback on training needs both internally and externally

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Experience using and calibrating precision measuring tools including Vernier Caliper, OD & ID micrometer, Dial-bore gauges, Depth gauges, Gagemaker thread measuring tools
- Prior experience performing machined part dimensional inspection including threaded connections
- Prior experience working with Quality Management System (in-house, API, ISO, etc.)
- Prior machining experience is considered an asset.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES REQUIRED**
- Thorough understanding blueprint of drawings
- Forklift & Overhead Crane experience an asset
- Physically able to lift parts up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work with little direct supervision and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to speak, type, and clearly write in English.
- Strong attention to detail

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
