We are now looking for team members to help carry this mission for Calgary's first Odd Burger location

The supervisor oversees the crew member(s) on duty and ensures service runs smoothly. The supervisor unlocks the doors, prepares the restaurant for service, completes all required checklists, and has strong leadership skills. The supervisor closes the restaurant and locks the doors at the end of the night. During operating hours, the supervisor greets and serves guests, prepares food products, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and performs tasks quickly and accurately. In addition, the supervisor handles customer complaints, facilitates public health or labour board inspections, receives orders, and submits a detailed shift report at the end of the shift. An understanding of food safety and Odd Burger restaurant operations are major components of this position.

**TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Opens and closes the restaurant.
- Ensures customers are greeted and served quickly, and that lobby and washroom areas are checked and cleaned regularly.
- Checks equipment is in working order and troubleshoots problems as able.
- Reports issues immediately to the store manager when required
- Prepares produce and ensures front of house and back of house kitchens are well supplied for service.
- Receives deliveries and identifies any issues with orders. Puts delivery away using FIFO method.
- Files invoices and packing slips in appropriate folder.
- Trains new workers.
- Ensures shifts are covered. Communicates with store manager when issues arise.
- Identifies when it is appropriate to send workers home during slow periods.
- Maintaining flow of service by ensuring adequate number of fries are down, food is being prepared accurately and orders are fulfilled correctly.
- Ensures workers are following policies and procedures.
- Completes required checklists, including a detailed shift report at the end of the shift.
- Ensure security of building is maintained during operating hours and after closing.

**PREREQUISITES**
- Education: Current Safe Food Handler certificate. Some high school or equivalent.
- Experience & Skills: Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role in a fast-paced restaurant. Positive attitude. Honest and trustworthy. Has a strong understanding of the best way to do things and how to problem solve when things go wrong. Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead the team to success.
- Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate all computerized systems. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Availability to work Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday afternoons-evenings

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
