**Job Description**:
**Scheduler**

Bring your scheduling and HRIS experience to this temporary full-time role as a Scheduler for Home and Community Care Support Services Central West (formerly LHIN).

This is a Temporary Full-Time role, with an approximate duration of 18 months.

(Hybrid, Days with occasional evening and weekend work)

Reporting to the Manager, Home and Community Care, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization by effectively managing and coordinating schedules across various departments on a daily basis.

This position encompasses four main types of responsibilities:
**1) Scheduling Function**
- Perform daily scheduling changes to ensure staff hours are captured accurately in all systems (i.e. Master schedule and HRIS).
- Assist the Home and Community Care Managers in the preparation and maintenance of the Home and Community Care department Master Schedule.
- Assist in the monitoring and continuous reviewing of the schedule of union employees and adherence to collective agreements.
- Work with Home and Community Care Managers to create reports to show gaps in the schedule and provide recommendations and assist Home and Community Care Managers to close the gaps.
- Develop reports to support the managers in making staffing and scheduling decisions to meet operational needs.
- Monitor and adjust staff leave requests status on the Web based self-serve component - QHRNet.
- Configure the Scheduling function of the HRIS database to meet the organization business needs.
- Create and maintain in-house procedures and administrative HRIS manuals for the function.
- Make recommendations to improve scheduling function.
- Work closely with payroll and HR staff to maintain the integrity of data and system changes of the Scheduling function of HRIS.
- Work closely with payroll to ensure staff hours/shifts are accurately reflected in the HRIS system.
- Book staff to fill staffing gaps as requested.

**2) Administrative Support**
- Perform scheduling function and support to the Director - Home and Community Care.
- Coordinate the collection and maintenance of relevant statistics for the department.
- Develop of a variety of statistical spreadsheets, graphs and reports as required.
- Prepare reports for distribution.

**3-Maintenance of On-Call Binder -Home and Community Care Specific**
- Advising Manager and on-call staff of relevant changes to information when on the on-call roster.

**4) Other**
- Provide administrative support back-up to the Home and Community Care Management team as required.
- Adhere to health and safety policies/ practices developed and implemented by the LHIN and take reasonable precautions.
- Participate in various organizational committees as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Post-secondary education in business, general administration or related field, or equivalent experience. Undergraduate degree is preferred.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Strong accurate keyboarding skills.
- Experience in office administration.
- Familiarity with Human Resources policies and the collective agreement.
- HRIS courses/certification preferred.
- Professional affiliations are an asset.
