**-Responsibilities & Requirements**:

- Work full time as part of a Grounds Maintenance Crew in the position of a Lead Hand.
- The Lead Hand will work alongside fellow grounds maintenance team members to provide professional services for commercial, residential, and institutional properties in the Niagara Region.
- As Lead Hand you will be responsible for driving the landscape truck and trailer to the various job sites with the crew and equipment. You will work with, and oversee all team members when on-site. You will delegate job tasks and duties to the crew as well as assisting with the work.
- Operate various small engine grounds maintenance equipment as well as a variety of commercial mowers
- Maintain and service equipment on a daily basis
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Meet at shop in Niagara Falls each morning to load equipment and organize the crew members
- Must be able to work longer hours (week days & weekends). 50 + hours per week
- Must be reliable, punctual, hardworking, organized, energetic, attentive to detail, and able to work well as a team player. Must be able to lead and direct a crew of 3 to 4 members.
- Winter Months
- Assist with the snow removal services using snow blowers, shovels, tractors, skid steers

**Job Duties**:

- Drive landscape truck and trailer with grounds maintenance crew to and from the job sites.
- Oversee crew and delegate duties to team members while completing jobs alongside.
- Implement all health and safety policies and procedures as provided.
- Complete daily work log
- Communicate with customers and clients while onsite
- Cut and trim lawns
- Weed, cultivate, and edge flower beds
- Trim bushes
- Spring and Fall clean ups
- Pick up litter and debris
- Installation of sod
- Installation of mulch
- maintain equipment and service machinery
- attend company meetings as required
- in winter months work as part of the snow removal team

**Experience, Education, and Skills**:

- A minimum of one year of previous experience or related experience required
- Class G License with clean drivers abstract required
- Must be able to work weekends

**Wage**:

- Hourly wage will depend upon experience. Range is $21 to $23 per hour.
