**Position**:Summer Camp Counsellor

**Reports to**:Program Director

Located in the rapidly growing city of Belleville, Ontario and just off the 401, Zone Athletics is a high-value athletic program in Quinte for athletes ages birth to 18+. This sports facility offers recreational classes for cheerleading, tumbling, and parkour, in addition to day camps, themed events, and birthday parties to individuals of all ages and abilities.

As our Summer Camp Counsellor, you will be a champion for providing a welcoming, nurturing, and positive place for our athletes and campers to develop to their full potential.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Do you want to positively impact the lives of today's youth? Due to our growing camp programs, Zone Athletics is looking to add 5 full-time counsellors and 2 part-time counsellors to our summer camp team.

You are someone who can lead a camp of young people, making it positive, high-energy, and engaging for everyone participating. Who wouldn’t want to help create our future leaders?

You are someone who strives to deliver the WOW factor for all clients and prospective clients by over-delivering outstanding experience through all avenues.

You are a strong communicator, interacting with others in-person, via phone, or through digital systems.

You are creative, disciplined, curious, and focused.

You love to collaborate with others to make good ideas awesome ones, able to see things through, and can adapt quickly to changing situations.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**

To be considered for this position, you musthave the following:

- Be a strong role model
- Experience working with children in various settings, such as camps, schools, or tutoring environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong initiative and motivation to deliver high value programming to all clients
- The ability to work positively in a team environment
- The ability to meet deadlines and objectives independently
- The skills that allow you to be meticulous in detail and follow-through
- Valid Vulnerable Sector check

**DESIRED ATTRIBUTES**
- First Aid & CPR-C

An eligibility list may be created for similar positions and will remain in effect for 12 months.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
