**Position Summary**:
The Screen Print Operator is responsible for operating the Screen Print and UV machine to Print on corrugated plastic sheets according to specified gages and dimensions in order to maintain the company’s goal of 100% on time delivery to our customers.

The Screen Print Operator will act as a Operator and provide Guidance and knowledge on the functions of the Screen Print over the assistant Screen Print Operator or General warehouse laborer. The Screen Print operator will train and be willing to be trained on new machines and assist in making decisions regarding the Screen Print Machine as well as but not limited to Screen ordering, supplies orders, sizing, job specific information and details and time frame to projects.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Knowledge of the printing design pattern.
- Using the correct color of ink/material for the job.
- Loading and repairs as needed.
- Start machine and set controls to regulate all projects to proper specifications of the machines.
- Perform quality control checks by frequent inspection; and adjust floods, screen, squeegees and speed, as required.
- Check quantities, dimensions, gauge and description to ensure that products comply with daily production schedule.
- Examine extruded product for defects, such as wrinkles, bubbles, and splits.
- Measure screen and material for conformance to specifications, using measuring tape and calipers.
- Adjust speed and weight controls to obtain product of specified dimensions.
- Set the heat settings of the extrusion machines, releasing the product through the machines and constant quality checks.
- Help the Assistant Extruder Operator to make sheet size changes by changing and/or moving blades and adjusting guillotine frequency.
- Make gauge and colour changes according to daily production schedule.
- Accurately complete daily production reports to avoid production and inventory errors.
- Produce all products within specifications and times allowed.
- Move full skids of extruded product to appropriate areas, as required.
- Inform Production Supervisor of any defects, breakage and/or down time on the shift.
- Perform regular production area clean up during and at the end of each shift.
- Complete and submit maintenance requests when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
- Adhere to Quality standards and procedures.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.

**Education**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

**Experience**:

- 1 year experience as an Assistant Extruder Operator.
- 2 -3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.

**Licenses/Certificates**:

- Forklift License Required (must attain and maintain).

**Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

**Working Conditions**:

- This job is performed in an industrial environment, and generally requires 75% standing, 25% walking. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling may be required from time to time.
- Regular exposure to dust, fumes and noise can be expected.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, are required.

**Hours of Work**:

- 15:30 - 23:30 Afternoons
- Schedule may vary to meet production requirement. Overtime will be a requirement in order to meet unforeseen scheduling and human resource concerns and to respond to equipment malfunctions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $21.85 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
