We’re on the search for a motivated professional to join our team as a **Technician, Product Launch.** In this role, you will focus on the scale-up and operationalization of novel cannabis products and line extensions for our Consumer and Medical channels in Canada and around the world. You will report into the Senior Manager, Product Launch and will collaborate with our team to introduce innovative and exclusive Aurora products into the industry. Sound exciting? **As the Technician, Product Launch you will...**:
- Collaborate with Category teams to implement processes to produce products at scale, including a variety of product forms and manufacturing lines like dried flower packaging, pre-rolls, infused pre-rolls, extracts, concentrates, gummies, and other edibles
- Design trials that validate the ability to produce products to define specifications at scale, including troubleshooting challenges seen at scale to refine sustainable processes
- Coordinate with Production Planning and Operations teams to schedule and execute trials
- Perform analysis of product samples (analytical chemistry, quantitative and qualitative analysis), review data and present results in team meetings
- Draft test procedures and prepare documentation for R&D and scale-up trials that are compliant and align with the needs of Operations and Quality Assurance teams
- Develop and write SOPs and other documentation required to launch and manufacture new products through Aurora’s MOC in collaboration with applicable teams
- Report on projects as needed by the Product Development team and other parts of the business
- Liaise with Engineering and Procurement to source, set up, calibrate, and qualification of instruments when required
- Work on developing industry standard and innovating packaging with Product Development / Procurement team, in accordance with National / Provincial regulations, for both recreational and medical channels
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in cannabis, pharma industries or a related field **_(we would also welcome an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)_**:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
- A passion for the cannabis industry and products
**It would be an asset if you have**
- Knowledge and expertise in one or more extraction technologies. More specifically, experience with a combination of butane, ethanol, solventless and other extraction platforms
- Expertise utilizing analytical chemistry instrumentation (HPLC-UV, LC-MS and LC-MS/MS, and GC-MS) techniques
- Knowledge of the supply chain from end to end (product ideation to commercialization), 3PL, Supply Chain and Distribution center, regulations or experience working in a regulated industry
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Adobe Illustrator
- You’re a self-motivated individual who thrives when managing multiple projects at once and achieving results
