We have an opportunity for a **VP, People and Culture** role to join our **People and Culture Team.**
As an experienced and dynamic HR Leader, you will optimize your expertise to lead and drive our organization's people strategy and culture initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies, programs, and policies that support the organization's business objectives while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
**In this role, you will**:
- Develop and implement human resource strategies, programs, and policies that align with business goals and objectives, including recruitment and retention, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, diversity, equity and inclusion, and succession planning
- Operate as a key member of the leadership team responsible for achieving company strategic objectives
- Collaborate with other leaders on key organizational, management and operational issues
- Lead a team of HR professionals: establish direction and set objectives, hire and train new team members, assess performance, implement development plans for direct reports, motivate team members to deliver great results and reward high performance
- Develop and set overall P&C department objectives; define and track measurable goals and outcomes; and ensure alignment with Company objectives
- Oversee all recruitment activities and develop innovative approaches to attract and retain top talent while ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
- Foster an inclusive Workplace Culture by developing and implementing initiatives that foster an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and encourages collaboration, and innovation
- Lead engagement initiatives and run regular Employee Engagement Surveys as well as 360 feedbacks
- Lead Performance Management Programs: manage performance management programs that promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, including coaching and development plans, goal setting, and performance metrics
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs and oversee programs to close skills gaps
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including employment laws, safety regulations, and equal opportunity guidelines
**You are a great fit if you have**:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
- Experience developing and executing HR strategies that support business goals
- Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the executive team and all departments
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
- The ability to create a safe, supportive and nurturing space for your team
- Passion for creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Experience creating customized Training & Development programs
- Excellent coaching skills, including executive coaching
- A good understanding of the challenges of the Tech Industry
- A great sense of humour and a positive mindset
- CPHR certification or working toward it
**Bonus points if you**:
- Have demonstrated a strong engagement in supporting women in a male dominated workplace
- Experience with ADP Workforce & WorkTango
- Hold a Coaching certificate
- Have bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (master's degree preferred)
- Have a strong interest in the technology sector
This role is a full-time position based in our Richmond, BC office. We are currently working remotely first, coming to the office two days per week (for the P&C team). Days in the office are focused on collaboration and building meaningful relationships and projects.
