Project Manager

**Overview**

Reporting to the PMO Director, the Project Manager must understand the drug development process, pharmaceutical manufacturing, technical transfers, cGMPs, and have project management expertise. The incumbent will be responsible for managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects of various complexity, liaise with all functional departments to meet project milestones within the required timeframes, have strong leadership skills and customer facing communication skills.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Client Management:

- Manages client satisfaction by managing client expectations and inquiries efficiently. Maintains good working relationship with client.
- Provides visibility to milestones progress and achievement to Clients and PMO Director/Capcium’s Leadership Team.
- Identifies and tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Works closely with the Sales/Business Development department to establish and maintain contractual agreements with new clients.
- General Project Management:

- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure project scope, strategy, goals and deliverables, risks and mitigations are well captured and agreed upon at an early stage.
- Creates and maintains NPI project timelines, tracks actions, critical path, accomplishments/deliverables, communications (internal and with Client), budgets, and expenses.
- Plans and manages the deliverables and scope, manages scope creep, monitors and ensures completion of all activities outlined for each project.
- Communicates on a regular basis the progress of each project to the respective departments and customers.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external kick-off meeting with the respective stakeholders.
- Identify project opportunities and discuss with the Sales/Business development team for additional sales, review change request.
- Working with Operations, providing manufacturing input to align and coordinate project execution within manufacturing plan and ensuring all project objectives are met within defined timelines.
- Prepares amendments for changes of scope in a timely manner.
- Practices standard project reporting procedures to client and management (i.e. minutes, agendas, timelines etc.).
- Works with management to resolve project issues and resource constraints within the team.
- Maintains positive team member interactions and manages conflicts at all levels.
- Contributes to monthly forecasts by managing project estimated monetary values (EMV).
- Determine critical path to ensure project success.
- Contributes to process improvement by actively utilizing new practices, collecting and sharing feedback.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field
- Minimum 5 years Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry experience
- Minimum 5 years project management experience in Pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing environment
- Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP); other certifications, an asset
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Strong leadership skills, driver to make things happen attitude
- Strong customer facing communication skills, interpersonal and good diplomatic negotiation skills
- Strong organizational skills, well-organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple project deliverables
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Functional bilingualism (English and French), both spoken and written are required
