Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.

**The opportunity**

We are currently looking to fill a part-time, permanent Homemaking Support Worker role in our Northeast region - **Elliot Lake**, Ontario.
**Starting wage** $18.62/hour

**Responsibilities**
- Assist consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living: light housekeeping (dusting, sweep, mop, vacuum, make bed, dishes, etc.) and laundry activities (sort, wash, dry, and fold) on a scheduled basis according to the consumer’s service agreement and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures.
- Provide Home Support service in a friendly, courteous, professional, and safe manner, which respects the consumer’s dignity and right to privacy, while ensuring consumer and staff safety.
- Manage and respond to change in a positive manner.
- Work safe according to WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) laws, regulations, MODC policies and procedures.

The part time Home Support Worker can work up to, but less than 30 hours per week, building a schedule based on client intake completions

**Qualifications and experience**
- High School graduate or equivalent

**- Valid G-Class driver’s license**
**- Reliable vehicle with $1,000,000 liability insurance to drive to and from client homes**
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain within three months.
- Experience working with older adults, adults with age-related health conditions, and/or disabilities.
- Knowledge and abilities in housekeeping duties
- Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical Demands Self Analysis required upon hire
