This position executes an accurate and timely biweekly payroll of 500+ employees within ADP for Ontario and Quebec. They will also be responsible for the management of employee data within ADP. This role will be supported by the Payroll Manager for execution of payroll and this role will report to the HR Manager. The Payroll Specialist will also work with the Payroll Manager on various projects and initiatives as they pertain to payroll & Benefits, as well as HRIS data integrity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute a timely and accurate biweekly payroll
- Prepare regular & ad-hoc reports
- Reconcile the GL payroll transactions
- Assist with WSIB and STD/LTD claims
- Benefits Administration
- Document and improve processes
- Create training documentation
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of a post-secondary accounting/business program with a focus on payroll
- 2 years minimum of payroll experience
SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
- Strong Excel spreadsheet experience
- Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures in Canada
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
- Physically able to work seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time
- Flexible attitude and approach to business solutions.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $47,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
