**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Benefits Governance Analyst to join our Governance team. Reporting to the Manager of Plan Governance and Legislation, this role will support the development and implementation of governance practices to employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

- ** Governance Review and Development**: Lead the recommendation, development, and implementation of board governance policies including development of new policies, and the review or modification of existing policies. Support compliance with regulatory requirements, manage governance processes related to risk assessments, and provide strategic advice to support management decisions related to governance practices across Plannera benefits functions. Responsible for monitoring developments in the pension and benefits industry regarding governance and legislation.
- ** Board Support**: Responsible for board meeting scheduling, coordinating the orientation, offboarding and onboarding of board members, coordinating meeting materials, and supporting executive secretarial functions in board meetings.
- A strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management within pension and benefits administration.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Proven experience collaborating across teams and managing diverse stakeholder needs.
- Familiarity with Canadian pension and benefits acts and regulations is an asset.
