**_Recreation Program Leader_**:
**Regular Part-Time (4-19 hours)**

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energized and fun-loving Program Leader to steer a variety of recreation programs and activities, whilst ensuring the safety and well-being of participants. If you have been waiting for an opportunity in Recreation with the District of Squamish, but cannot commit to full-time hours, this could be for you We offer a flexible schedule of 4 to 19 hours per week, a great team environment, and the world’s most beautiful outdoor playground.

In addition, you will ideally possess a minimum of 2 years experience working with and leading a wide range of recreation programs, First Aid Certificate minimum 8 hour course, and experience, training, & qualifications related to specific programming needs, and an original Police Information Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check issued within the past 6 months that is satisfactory to the employer will be required before starting in the position.

**_Key Responsibilities: _**
- Assisting to organize and plan daily activities, then instructing and leading them
- Ensuring the safety of participants at all times.
- Evaluating program content and participant satisfaction.
- Arranging equipment, and keeping accurate records and reports.
- Passionate about recreation and able to lead indoor and outdoor activities.
- Great communication skills - the ability to build relationships with all ages.
