**Job Summary**

** Job location is in Shuniah, ON (5 minutes outside Thunder Bay). 325 Highway 527

**Duties**
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to meet project requirements
- Construct, install, and repair structures, and fixtures using wood, plywood, and other materials. Framing interior and exterior walls. Installing flooring, paneling, windows, roofing, and doors
- Measure, cut, and install materials with precision
- Perform construction painting as needed to finish projects
- Lay tiles and install flooring materials with precision
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required for transporting materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with managers, technicians, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects.

**Requirements**:

- Red Seal Certified (preferred)
- G license and vehicle to get to and from shop in Shuniah, ON
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry. 5+ years experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to carpentry tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with carpentry work.
- Experience operating forklifts
- Experience with basic electrical and plumbing.
- Experience with roof installation and tile laying is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining effective communication.
