We are always looking for the energetic, curious, passionate people to join our global team. **CHALLENGES AWAITING YOU** Reporting directly to our Global Head of Structuring, you will play a leading role in negotiating investment management agreements with hedge fund managers located around the world, for our investment funds domiciled in North America and abroad. You will be responsible for the coordination with other departments (risk management, due diligence, investor relations, accounting, operations, compliance) and external service providers (external legal counsel, tax advisors, accountants, auditors, investors). More specifically, in conjunction with the leadership team, you will be responsible for: - Develop, implement, and maintain various legal structures in Europe and the Americas. - Prepare and review the funds’ offering documentation and related documents (prospectus, supplements, offering memorandum, letter agreements with investors, subscription documents, etc.) - Negotiation of agreements with external service providers. - Present and obtain Board approvals in relation to contractual or corporate changes and amendments for all funds. - Act as point of contact on the legal/structuring front for large, sophisticated investors (pension plans, financial institutions, asset allocators), in relation to fund structuring. **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR** - Bachelor's degree in law - Member of a relevant Bar association or the equivalent for at least 5 years - Experience in the field of investment funds is a great asset - Experience in drafting and negotiating agreements - Knowledge or experience in financial markets and the hedge fund industry - Knowledge of the regulatory framework of securities and financial markets in Canada and in the United States - Ability to manage priorities and a high volume of assignments simultaneously - Ability to work in a team and independently - Thoroughness and attention to detail - Excellent written and spoken communication skills in French and English are required given the international nature of the work
