Assistant Outlet Manager

The Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel is home to Scarlet Craft Kitchen, Carver’s Steakhouse & Lounge and The Express Stop.

Reporting to the Outlets Manager, the Assistant Outlets Manager’s function will be to support the overall operations of all outlets in creating memorable, customized experiences by engaging service staff to deliver the highest level of food and drink in all our outlets, which also includes room service.

As a member of the Sheraton Management Team you will motivate, mentor, and hold the team accountable to service standards and the professional polished appearance of each team member.

The Assistant Outlets Manager will be hands-on, supporting service execution in all aspects of service, and readying the room for the next peak period. In this role you will be responsible for the overall operations involving your shift which includes the entire service team, the service experience, ambiance in all spaces, guest opportunities, balancing daily sales, and ensuring operational shift duties are completed. You will also be a support for The Express Team and Room Service in all operational aspects, mentorship and development.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in training and development of all outlet service associates_
- Ensure service staff are following standard operating procedures_
- Provide input to Outlets Manager regarding coaching discussions, performance reviews, and ongoing training opportunities for service team members_
- Adjusting and creating schedules based upon business volumes_
- Assist in accuracy of point-of-sale systems and updating as necessary_
- Assist inventory counts and monitoring/maintaining par-stocks_
- Contribute to overall strategic goals, initiatives, and objectives to support the Outlet Manager’s strategies in achieving revenue and profit goals_
- Ensure all staff are aware and following cost control and security measures, as well as auditing shift deposits and reconciliations for accuracy_
- Requisitioning supplies for outlets as necessary_
- Ensure the next shift if set up for success_
- Motivate associates and build a culture of respect, recognition and celebration amongst the team as well as supporting teams_
- Conduct shift huddles to ensure daily departmental goals are achievable_
- Attend and participate in departmental head meetings_
- Strong effective communication with Line Chefs, Sous Chefs, Executive Chef and Director of Operations._
- Ensure staff are following proper food safe handling, sanitization procedures and responsible alcohol service_
- Ensures the room and staff are _professionally_ _presented at all times_
- Regular inspection of all spaces and patio reporting any maintenance or deep cleaning requirements to the Outlets Manager for follow up_
- Support Express Stop and Room Service Operations during peak times_
- Ensure tip out processes are in place and adhered to in a fair and equitable manner_
- Ensuring consistency and standards of food and drinks are met whilst on shift_
- Diligently responds to all guest opportunities whilst on shift_

**Qualifications**
- A certificate/diploma/degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience_
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role _
- Can demonstrate strong leadership skills_
- Excellent guest, customer, and employee relations skills_
- Organized; detail-oriented; takes initiative_
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills_
- Responsible alcohol certificate (Serve it right)_
- Food Safe handling certificate_
- Must maintain flexible availability to be functional in all areas & shifts_
