Route Planner and Load Booking Specialist

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Develop and implement effective route plans that maximize asset utilization and minimize freight costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align asset and driver availability with customer needs.
- Utilize systems such as Samsara to track shipments and manage order fulfillment processes.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for process improvement within the supply chain.
- Coordinate with Dispatch to ensure timely delivery of goods and a high on time score arising from proper planning and execution.
- Monitor budgetary constraints and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Maintain accurate and real time updates of route plans, shipment schedules, TMS, and CRM.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

**Qualifications**
- A minimum of 3 years experience in load and route planning for Cross Border USA, Inter-Provincial Canada, and Local Ontario & Quebec.
- Strong knowledge of cost optimization and freight management practices.
- Familiarity with demand planning processes and on time order fulfillment strategies.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements of MTO, DOT, and USA Border Crossing.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work with ease on SaaS operating platforms.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and drivers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work under pressure independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
