The Social Media/Digital Marketing Specialist’s role is to design, create, and deliver production of digital marketing channel ready assets to support expansion and growth of the company digital services This role requires an in-depth knowledge of social media and the digital marketing production tactics, especially in the social media space. Proficiency in graphics, web advertising, social media and web development is preferred.The Social Media Production Specialist will utilize sound judgment in planning and experience to accomplish identified goals.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Skilled in content writing
- Skilled in Digital Videography
- Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy after conducting competitive research, platform determination, messaging, and audience identification
- Plan, create, publish and share new content (including original text, images, video and code) on a daily basis that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the brand
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop social media campaigns
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
- Moderate user-generated content in line with the moderation policy
- Collaborate with sales, web design, web development, digital marketing, customer relations and product development teams
- Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and social media best practices to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns
- Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
- Bolster your network by interacting with industry professionals and influencers via social media
- Work with our internal Integrated production and development team to develop display campaigns assets including video, online video, YouTube, Gmail, social and more
- Developing, managing and designing layouts of communications assets including web, social media marketing campaign assets.
- Able to manage all social media search engnines
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary.
- Good technical understanding and can learn new hardware and software quickly.
- 2 years of experience in digital social media marketing
- Experience managing successful social media campaigns, and a solid understanding of social marketing.
- Must be able to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects across multiple lines of business.
- Strong management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience delivering digital campaigns
- Knowledge of Google Analytics for digital reporting and tracking (preferred)
- MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel skills required
- Strong analytical and planning skills
**Preferred Competencies**:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Communications/English, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or Design, Political Science. Will consider a lower level of education based on passion for the industry.
**LOCATION**:
- Position includes in person participation at our Hamilton location
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
