Palatine Hills Estate Winery is a family-run winery located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, known for its award-winning wines and deep roots in the region's winemaking history. With over 40 years of grape growing experience and a strong commitment to quality and innovation, we craft wines that reflect the unique character of our land.

We're looking for a hard-working, motivated **Cellar Hand** to join our close-knit production team and assist with all phases of winemaking, especially during the busy harvest season. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow with one of Niagara's most established boutique wineries.

**Responsibilities**

As a Cellar Hand at Palatine Hills, your day-to-day tasks will include:

- Assisting in all aspects of winery operations, including grape receiving, crushing, pressing, fermenting, racking, and blending
- Cleaning and sanitizing tanks, barrels, hoses, and equipment to maintain high hygiene standards
- Monitoring fermentations and performing basic lab tests as needed
- Operating pumps, filters, presses, and other winery equipment safely and efficiently
- Assisting with barrel work — filling, topping, racking, and cleaning
- Maintaining accurate records and following standard operating procedures
- Supporting bottling operations and packaging as required
- Following health, safety, and environmental protocols at all times

**Qualifications**
- Enthusiasm for wine and a desire to learn the craft of winemaking
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work long shifts, especially during harvest
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime during peak times
- Forklift certification is an asset (or willingness to become certified)
- Must have reliable transportation to the winery
