Located in the heart of Whistler Village, The Crystal Lodge is where comfort meets adventure. We’re a team of passionate hospitality professionals who care deeply about guest experience—and that includes having everything in perfect working order.
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be the go-to guru for all things upkeep—from drywall repairs to keeping our hot tubs hot and our lights shining bright. You’ll tackle daily tasks set by the Maintenance Manager, be proactive about spotting issues before they become problems, and work closely with our front desk and housekeeping teams to ensure our guests enjoy a flawless stay.
**Your Day-to-Day Might Include**:
- Performing preventative maintenance in guest rooms (painting, caulking, staining, you name it).
- Conducting light bulb checks on the reg (because ambiance matters).
- Opening our pool and hot tubs each morning like a spa wizard.
- Reporting and resolving issues through our work order system (RDP).
- Ensuring maintenance and supply areas are organized and well-stocked.
- Assisting with garbage removal and recycling efforts.
- Providing warm, helpful interactions with guests - sometimes you’ll be their hero of the day
**What we are looking for**:
- A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Solid all-around maintenance skills (plumbing/electrical knowledge is a plus).
- A knack for troubleshooting and staying cool under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills—you know how to keep everyone in the loop.
- A flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, reach, push, pull, and work in small spaces or at heights.
**Bonus Skills (Not required, but brownie points**:
- PoolSafe certification (we’ll provide if needed).
- Experience in a hospitality or hotel setting.
