**About KidSport**
KidSport Edmonton (KSE) is a local non-profit-organization that manages a fee assistance program called KidSport’s Grant Program subsidizing sport registration fees for kids who come from families that face financial hardship.

**Role Overview**
You will serve as an essential member of the KSE Team by being a key driver of KSE’s growth, and long-term sustainability. This new role builds on and executes KSE’s fundraising development plan for 2026 and beyond, with a focus on growing revenue through grants, foundations, corporations, individual donors, as well as partnership development, stewardship and the relevant administration connected to donor management. This position carries out KSE’s fundraising efforts efficiently, fostering positive donor relationships and supporting financial sustainability.

**Accountability, Reporting & Evaluation**:

- This position is accountable to - and on a weekly basis - reports directly to the Executive Director
- This position is evaluated by the Executive Director on an annual basis

**Responsibilities**:

- Revenue Management _
- Execute and enhance existing fundraising plans, identifying new and creative opportunities to diversify revenue
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement a partnership development strategy, focused on multi-year, high-value relationships with a strong recognition strategy
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective donors and partners that align with KidSport’s mission and values
- Responsible for monthly donor program growth, maintenance and stewardship
- Manage bi-annual casino with Finance Manager and Event and Communications Manager
- Work with colleagues and volunteer leaders, as well as independently to meet fundraising targets while following KSE’s Board approved Strategic Framework
- Ensure effective donor management through organizing donor data followed by utilizing DonorPerfect to ensure accurate donor records, timely communications, and efficient data management
- Relationship & Recognition Management _
- Manage, update and maintain the donor database, ensuring data integrity, timely updates, and accurate reporting to support relationship management and decision-making
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, steward and strengthen relationships with existing donors and partners through executing donor deliverables and donor based administrative tasks
- Build on and execute a donor and partner recognition strategy that ensures meaningful, timely, and consistent acknowledgment of contributions
- Support ongoing relationship management with consistent communication, engagement, and recognition initiatives to ensure seamless donor experience by understanding donor priorities to align shared goals, growing donor impact and long-term support
- Prepare high-quality stewardship materials, including impact updates, annual partnership reports, and renewal requests
- General Management_
- Represent KSE professionally at events, networking functions, and community activities
- Prepare regular reports with insights for the Executive Director and Board of Directors
- Regularly monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, reviewing internal processes and priorities, identifying areas for improvement keeping future needs and budget realities in mind
- Recommend new processes, tools, and strategies to improve fundraising efficiency and long-term sustainability
- As required, develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize aspects of fundraising
- Adhoc work with other Managers to ensure organizational efficiency and/or impact on fundraising
- Ensure compliance with fundraising laws and ethical standards
- Hold awareness of fund development standards and goals of this role within the annual budget

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 10 years of experience in fund development, communications, nonprofit management, or partnership management
- Preferred: Experience with Microsoft 365, Google, DonorPerfect, Canva
- An Asset: Six Sigma Certificate
- General Qualifications:

- Strategic, relationship-focused, and results-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial and resourceful approach
- Proven experience in fund development, including grant writing, sponsorship, and donor relations
- Compelling storyteller and skilled communicator, adept at engaging diverse stakeholders
- Highly organized with strong administrative, time management, and prioritization skills
- Comfortable taking initiative and leading change, even when information is limited
- Experience working within small, volunteer-led or growing nonprofit organizations
- A demonstrated ability to scale fundraising strategies and systems
- Strategic thinker who anticipates future needs and adapts to change with a growth mindset
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work effectively across teams and with volunteers
