**Job description**

Founded in 2013, ICON Creative Studio is Canada’s largest independently owned animation entertainment company located in the historic Gastown district of Vancouver, BC, Canada. With almost 800 design, storyboarding, modelling, rigging, animation, technical animation, lighting, visual effects and compositing artists alongside creative and management teams.

We are looking for Intermediate Animators to join our team in Vancouver.

**ABOUT THIS POSITION**

Animators are the backbone of this department. They are expected to consistently produce at the quality and output level determined by their production.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Consistently produce animation at the quality and output level determined by their production.
- Focus on strong fundamentals and high levels of polish in the shots assigned.
- Animate a wide range of shots including more complicated or technically challenging shots, or larger groups and crowd shots.
- Has a solid understanding of show style and what it takes to get a shot approved.
- Receives shot approval quickly with mínimally repeated notes.
- Keeps scenes and workflows clean and organized.
- Mindful of overall series notes.
- Maintains scene continuity throughout the show not just within the assigned shots.
- Problem-solves efficiently and communicates with the Lead or Supervisor when needed.
- Communicate when larger issues are found in the assets.
- At least 1 year of experience in Film, TV, videogame production or media equivalent
- At least 1 year of Maya experience required
- Completion of a Certificate/Diploma in Animation is an asset
- Ability to work well in a team and excellent communication skills
