**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Director, Seniors Services, the Manager Long Term Care Facilities is responsible for the management, administration and provision of administrative support to the operation of the Long Term Care (LTC) facilities while providing strategic direction aligned with divisional priorities and is directly accountable for the effective service delivery of a portfolio that includes the operations and maintenance of all the Long Term Care (LTC) facilities, capital planning, the management of assets and all aspects of emergency planning for seniors services.
**Education**:
- Post-secondary degree in Engineering (B.Eng), Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent.
**Knowledge**:
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in building maintenance, design or construction
- 10 years relevant experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity in a similar setting.
- Emergency planning experience in a similar setting
- Building Management in a Long Term Care home is preferred.
- Building Environmental Systems Facility Manager Certificate (BESFM, FMA, CFM)
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
**Responsibilities**:
**Provides leadership and direction in execution and direction of all operations and core maintenance associated with all Regional long term care homes. (30% of time)**:
- Directs facilities maintenance and operations activities including preventative maintenance programs, grounds, snow removal, building envelope, mechanical and electrical systems, life safety systems and emergency repairs for the division’s facilities and equipment for all long-term care homes
