Caressant Care Nursing and Retirement Homes Limited has an immediate opening for a Controller at our Head Office in Woodstock.

Position Overview
- Manages a team of 5 staff to complete daily accounting functions including A/R, A/P and in house payroll
- General accounting duties including month end/year end account reconciliations and analysis
- Preparation of various financial reports for management
- Preparation of various government reports and filings
- Assists CFO in developing and managing the implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Participates in recruitment, selection and hiring of staff as required.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years working in an Accounting or Finance role with 3 years in a supervisory responsibility role
- University or College Degree in Finance, Business Studies or Accounting
- Possess an accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Superior computer skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Adagio or similar accounting system
- Knowledge of Point Click Care Billing and Trust modules is an asset.
