**Financial Analyst**

The Business Analyst will report to the **President**.

**Location**:
Hybrid - work from home & rotational in-person throughout the GTA

**Responsibilities**:

- Consolidate and analyze financial data (business plans, forecasts, income statement, cash flow) considering the

company's goals and financial standing
- Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information so senior management has accurate and timely

information for making strategic and operational decisions
- Develop, manage, analyze, and maintain various financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly)
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing tools, reporting, and processes
- Manage full-cycle accounting and general ledger
- Manage month-end account reconciliations and adjusting entries
- Conduct bank reconciliations and posting entries
- Manage/reconcile intercompany receivables/payables
- Process payroll via 3rd party software
- Prepare year-end accounting files and associated schedules
- Assist with Government tax reporting
- Recommend changes to internal processes and new business strategies
- Other duties, as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or working towards professional accounting designation

required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices (experience in hospitality is an asset)
- Experience in preparing corporate tax returns, HST returns, and payroll-related filing
- Experience in preparing consolidated, multi-company financial statements, and analyzing results
- Experience in risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Proficient in Excel and finance software
- An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Organizational and leadership skills

**Compensation**:

- Salary: $70,000/year but flexible based on qualifications & experience
