**General Labourer**

**About the Company**
Capital Door is a wood door manufacturer. We provide solid core wood doors, hardware, and metal frames that we build. We are looking for a team member who will contribute to a positive work environment and produces quality products and an amazing experience to our customers.

**About the Role**
This role will be a part of our production team in the manufacturing of Capital Door’s projects. This position will be involved with a variety of different tasks as each project presents a new challenge to display an outstanding level of craftsmanship.
Essential

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret build sheets to manufacture wood doors.
- Prep and process various materials to manufacture wood doors.
- Inspect final quality of the product and package doors to the customer in a safe manner.
- Proficiently and safely operate hand and power tools required.
- Maintain and organize the shop equipment and shop floor in accordance to H&S standards.
- Other duties as required to provide assistance on various tasks, including sanding, sweeping, assembling, packaging, lifting and moving.

**Education, Qualifications and Training**

**Education**
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Post secondary education in a related field is an asset

**Experience and Knowledge**
- Must have experience working with power, hand tools and machinery including: Routers, Edge Bander, Table Saws and other shop tools.
- An understanding of the material properties of wood and veneers as well as laminates is an asset.
- Valid G Class Driver’s License required.

**Reporting to**
- Shop Foreman

**Location**: Ottawa, Ontario

**Hours**
- Monday - Friday (41.50 hours/ week)
- Monday to Thursday (7AM - 4PM)
- Friday (7AM - 3PM)

**Compensation**
- Starting range between $20.00 and $24.00 per hour (Compensation will be based on experience)

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
