- As a Human Resources Analyst for the Calgary Police Service (CPS) you will work with the Business Partnership Unit assisting, coordinating and leading HR initiatives and projects relating to strategic HR issues. Primary duties include:

- Provided coaching for leaders and employees related to career development dialogues, performance review discussions, employee engagement strategies, workplace conflict and respectful workplace issues.
- Identify HR issues through analysis and identification of relevant policies, collective agreements and legislation and recommend courses of action.
- Research best practices to create tools and resources for HR initiatives such as performance management, change management and diversity and inclusion.
- Develop HR plans and programs that will support the achievement of business objectives.
- Assist HR Business Partners to coordinate the documentation of HR processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), ensuring that documentation is following HR policies and collective agreements.

**Qualifications**
- A degree in Human Resources, Commerce/Business, Social Sciences, or related field and at least 4 years of related HR experience.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
- A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation would be considered an asset.
- Experience using PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) or equivalent Human Resources Information System will be considered an asset.
- Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge and experience of Labour Relations and interpreting collective agreements.
- Experience working in a unionized environment, public sector, and/or law enforcement/paramilitary environment will be considered an asset.

**Pre-employment Requirements**
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
